This year Bath-Braunschweig Twinning Association organised a chalet at Bath’s Christmas Market for the first time. Our volunteers braved the cold and had an enjoyable time talking to visitors to the Market, many of whom had a German connection, and who were interested to hear more about Brunswick and to take away a taste of Brunswick and various booklets.
On 6th December we were joined by friends and members of BBTA and Bath German Society to sing Weihnachtslieder, and the Mayor (Cllr Rob Appleyard) kindly joined in all the singing, too. The following evening, members of the ukulele band “Uke can’t be serious”, who had visited Brunswick for the Kulturnacht in 2019, also performed in front of our chalet
The festivities continue on 15th December, when the German Society hosts the annual Christmas party at BRLSI.
