The art of book re-cycling! by Richard Wyatt Bath and North East Somerset Libraries are giving you the chance to reinvent an ex library book, you can rebind, paint it, cut it, fold it, collage it or even saw it in half, there are no rules, just let your imagination run wild! Dear Members, It has been decided to hold our thirteenth AGM on Friday 27th June at 2.30 in the Mayor’s Parlour, Guildhall. This will be followed by the first Inter Twinning Association Petanque Tournament at 6.30 – 8.30 in Queen Square. Anyone wishing to practice can come at 6 pm. It will be followed by a buffet & socialising in The Harington Club, Harington Place, just off Barton Street, round the corner from Queen Square. It is likely that the Mayor will present the trophy to the winners during the evening. Anyone who has is interested in playing / or attending this event & has not yet given their name to me, please let me know as soon as possible, please. The Bath-Braunschweig Twinning Association was given a talk on the history and development of out twin city of Braunschweig. Vice-President of the Deutsch-Englisch Gesellschaft (DEG) Anglo-German Association Braunschweig, Frau Barbara Heck spoke about the early connections with Bath and the development of Braunschweig.
